Very helpful staff. Went here to get an afghan visa. Had to meet an officer and then the ambassador himself to explain why I want to go to Afghanistan. They wanted to know if I knew the security situation there. Friendly chat about our mutual countries. Eventually got a visa the same day. When you reach you will see a high closed gate. There is a security kiosk outside the door 24x7. If it is outside office hours the guard will tell you when the consulate will open. If it is open, he will call an officer inside announcing you. The officer will come out and meet you at the gate. He will take an application form at the gate and bring back your stamped passport to the gate. You enter the consulate only if he thinks it is necessary, in my case he asked me in to see the ambassador. This is the largest Afghan embassy in the central asia region.
