This Craft Shop also provides workshops on “Shyrdak” and “Ala Kiyiz” making, and Yurt installation together with tourists. Traditionally, Naryn is the best place to buy Shyrdak (felt carpets), and this shop is the best option. They sell magnets, books, souvenirs, cute slippers, hairbands, hats, scarves! All hand made by women.

The manager and the owner of the information centre are such lovely people. I was arriving in Naryn without any clue what to do. I had only a few days left in Kyrgyzstan and I still haven´t been able to see real nomad life. I told that Asyl, the manager of this shop, and she became passionate about helping me. She called the head of this nomad village close to Tunuk Kench and arranged a meeting the day after. At the end I was living a couple of days with him and his family to participate in their everyday life. That was exactly what I was searching for the whole time! Furthermore - when Asyl heard that I was planning to camp outside in the mountains that night she arranged a bed in the flat of the owner of the shop for me. So I got food and a warm bed for the first time since a long time. Both women seemed to be very strong and independent. They were helping me as much as possible and didn´t ask for anything!
